'Gully Boy' out of Oscar finals disappoints makers.




Officially breaking into the category for the best foreign-language film of the 92nd Academy Awards 'Gully Boy' did make a proud moment for the makers. Not long did the cast Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt expressed their happiness over the selection, the film is now out from Oscar final's disappointing makers.


The final list of Oscar's is out for voting with Ranveer and Alia Bhatt starrer 'Gully Boy', not on the list.  However, the list for the 10 selected films are.


  1.    The Painted Bird, Czech Republic.     
  2.    Truth and Justice, Estonia.   
  3.    Les Miserables, France.
  4.    Those Who Remained, Hungary.   
  5.    Honeyland, North Macedonia.    
  6.    Corpus Christi, Poland.
  7.    Beanpole, Russia.
  8.    Atlantics, Senegal.
  9.   Parasite, South Korea.
  10.   Pain and Glory, Spain.


Farhan expressed his disappointment while talking to the media for the film not being selected but also wished to other filmmakers who made it to the Oscars. He said that he and his team are disappointed for Gully Boy's exit from the Oscars final round but feel grateful for having an opportunity to compete.


'Gully Boy' is inspired by Indian street rapper Naezy (Naved Shaikh) & Divine (Vivian Fernandes)  featuring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Vijay Raaz, and Kalki Koechlin. The film shows the hustle of Indian freestyle street rappers from the slums of Mumbai.
